I'll be honest, I have taken quite a few pictures recently, most if not all of them of our precious daughter Joy. I am absolutely in love with this little girl. She seems to continue to become more and more beautiful as these blessed days go by. She's also growing in leaps n' bounds which is amazing to behold, especially when I consider that besides love, happiness, and a great deal of patience her primary food source is her mother's milk. Incredible really.
Well good kind folks, here is a group of fun pictures from recent days gone by, enjoy!
I just remembered there is another set of pictures I haven't shared, here's a couple more for your viewing pleasure...
Another glorious day of existence we have here eh? I have some fun pictures to share with you, most of which were taken today though a few of them are from yesterday as well. Today, as you can see from the first picture below, I was delighted to happen upon a neat garter snake who decide to allow me to have a full out photo shoot. I thank it again now kindly, it really was a great sport about letting me get some choice shots. Well, enough of these words, on to the images...
I think the garter snake gets the showcase for The 5 today, I will add a handful more pictures below but really, that snake deserves it's own display.
Ahoy! Well, I have a great deal more than 5 pictures I would like to share at this time, I haven't posted in a bit and I have been actively taking pictures so I am just going to unload a whole bunch of pictures for ya. Enjoy!
Long time, no post. It feels good to pop some new pictures up here, these are a little taste from ths past weekend up on the north shore of Lake Superior. My beautiful wife and I camped out at Tettegouche State Park and went on a lovely 3 mile (round trip) hike and saw Two Step and High Falls, it was glorious. The weather was phenomenal, the lake breeze can be brisk but the sun was shining and we couldn't of asked for a better day. So, here is a glimpse of our fun from the trip and I threw a picture of the two of us all gussied up in there as well, that picture was from the day of my good friends Brice and Jerod's mother Julie's funeral celebration, she was a blessed woman and I am grateful to have shared a portion of my life in her presence. I am so very thankful for everyones presence in my life and also believe every day is a blessing and should be celebrated, well, enjoy!
I just put all the pictures from my sweet beloveds camera on her computer and got to look at them for the frirst time since our trip which was really cool, she gave me reins of the camera so I got to be the photographer for most of the trip, here is just a little taste of some of the pictures from our experiences, there are so many to share, I grabbed these from different points in the trip to give show a broader perspective our journey. Enjoy!
So this is a wonderful and beautiful woman I met and the splendid time we spent together today, no swimming with the dolphins but in all it was a fantastic time. Enjoy!
I am grateful for this day, life is beautiful and I am enjoying myself thoroughly. I am honored to meet such amazing people such as Chrissy who help me see the greatness in myself by seeing the greatness in her. She lives in Maryland and we only got to spend a handful of hours together before she departed, it is in appreciating these moments (and each moment really) in life that makes this existence so special. I love this life and I am grateful.
Aloha, here is a few more glimpses of what I am experiencing in my new home in Hawai'i, the sun just happens to set over the great Pacific in a place I will be able to see it nightly if I so choose, I dig that. I want to send warm energetic waves of love, light, and happiness to you all, let's celebrate and enjoy this life, it is the only one we've got! Enjoy!
Hopefully I will try surfing one of these next couple of days, that is something I am looking very forward to. To be honest, I am just doing my best to stay present, to breathe deeply and slowly so that I can stay focused on what is happening here and now, I am succumbing to the moment, and just allowing life to flow. Removing expectations and just being, I have found that this is a key to living a truly enjoyable life. Whatever happens, happens. In every instance you can end your thoughts, feeling, or words with a positive perspective or a negative one, I am doing my best to always leave things in a positive realm. I invite you to do the same.
I will post many more and write a great deal more in the future, right now I am working with a slow internet connection and do not have open access to a computer always, I will do my best to get on here every day and continue The 5 for my own pleasure and perhaps for yours. Aloha and mahalo for stopping by...
So the time is now officially here. I am moving to Hawai'i in roughly 12 hours, technically I will not get there until 10:10 Hawai'i time which is 6 hours earlier than "this" time that I am in right now. Regardless, tomorrow morning I am getting on a plane a little after 8:00 a.m. and I am making my way over the Big Island, Hawai'i.
Being my last day here I figured I ought to make the best of it so I awoke at 11:30ish (which was amazing because I didn't go to sleep until like 5:30 this morning) and at 1:00 or so we went disc golfing at CP Adams in Hastings. When I say we I mean Richard Nelson, Mark Karner, and Ryan Britton, and myself, I cannot forget Rich's dog dilly either. Anywho, we rocked it out at that incredible course, got done by 4:00 and then I went with Mark and played soccer for roughly two hours. Good times.
After this I met up with my dear and lovely mom and we had a couple of drinks and food at Jake's just down the road from her place so that was cool. Also Kirsten, who is my good friend and a person I love dearly came up for a bit to say goodbye as well, I am really glad for that as well.
Alright, here is a couple of pictures from today from me to you. Enjoy!
This is what you are getting for today folks, the next time I post it will be of pictures from the blessed island of breathe, Hawai'i.
So I didn't manage to post yesterday but I sure took plenty of pictures. So this is a recap of some of the pictures from yesterday, I figure I may as well post The 5 and then 5 more for good measures. Enjoy!
It was a day full of goodness, I ended up taking maybe 75 pictures or so, these were just a glimpse of them for you. I have one last one I would like to share with you that was taken just prior to the soccer game I played in last night, it was the Championship game and we ended up winning 7-6. Thank you if you were one of the kind souls to send some positive vibes our way for that outcome. Much love and light, tonight I am having a moving away party and if you are in the Twin Cities area please do come on by the Mediterranean Cruise Cafe and have a good time with me!
Could you imagine a day where you could do everything that you've been meaning to do your entire life? I cannot, nor do I want to really entertain that idea, not because it's crazy or anything, I just know that life is a constant flow and that we are doing exactly what we are supposed to be doing every moment of our lives.
Life should not feel overwhelming and yet it happens anyways. I had a bout with that today when I was driving to visit my good friend Charles Douglas Clutter at Lino Lakes Correctional Facility, today I got a few things done but on the drive I felt a tid bit of of tension thinking about all the things I didn't get accomplished that I wanted to today. Then I simmered down, took a few deep relaxing breathes and calmed my nerves and just got present to the moment.
When I did this everything came into focus and I realized that life was indeed unfolding naturally and that everything happens for a reason. It was a great feeling, I had came into visit Charles and his mentor Jeff and we had a great conversation for the first hour I was there then Jeff left so I could have an hour to spend with Charles alone, Jeff is an awesome man and he knows that I am moving to Hawai'i in 5 days so it was very admirable for him to allow us to have a bit of time to share before I move.
Well, here are some pictures from my visit with Chuck, I wasn't able to bring my camera in so I did the best I could, a few of the pictures are from a cemetery that I stopped at after the visit that is just across the street. I couldn't tell you what made me stop but it was nice to reflect with and honor the lives of these people I never met in this life. It is times like that when I think to myself that I want to leave behind as beautiful and loving of a legacy as I possibly can, there is no time in this existence to hate, carry anger, and animosity when you can instead love, carry honor, and appreciation instead.
Enjoy!
The sun was setting and I was a ways away but if you squint your eyes or zoom in on the picture that is Charles waving to me from his room after my visit.
One last thing, on the way back from the visit I called my brother from another mother Derek Kotval and had a great 30 or so minute conversation with him and that was a really great addition to my day and life. He is making things happen right now in California and I am very proud of him and honored to be his friend and ally.
Much love, light, and honorable breath to each and every one of you, we are all family in this life!
Here's one more picture I would love to share from the cemetery...
